Admission Procedure
Applications for admission to diploma courses at Sri Krishna Polytechnic College must be submitted to the Principal (by designation, not by name). All entries in the application form must be clearly filled out in the candidate’s own handwriting.
Admission to First Year Diploma Courses
- Candidates must have passed SSLC (10th Standard) or any other qualification recognized as equivalent by the Director of School Education, Tamil Nadu.
- Only candidates from Tamil Nadu will be considered for admission.
- The candidate must have studied Mathematics and Scienc as compulsory subjects.
- Candidates must secure the minimum required pass marks in Mathematics and Science, as prescribed by their respective State Boards.
- If the qualifying exam includes separate subject-wise marks (Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, etc.), the total marks in these subjects will be considered under an integrated Science category for eligibility.
Lateral Entry Admission to Second Year Diploma Courses
Candidates are eligible for direct admission into the second year of the diploma course if they have:
- Passed HSC (Science with Vocational subjects)
- Passed HSC (Academic)
- Passed HSC (Technical)
- Passed SSLC + Two-Year ITI Course with an appropriate specialization
Age Limit
There is no age limit for admission to any diploma course.

Admission Requirements
- First-Year Admission: Pass in 10th Standard
- Second-Year (Lateral Entry) Admission: Pass in +2 (or) ITI
- Direct Admission to Second Year: Pass in 12th Standard (Vocational/Science Group) or ITI
- First-Year Admission: Candidates who have failed +2 but passed 10th are eligible to join
